What to Expect

Your visit, from hello to goodbye

No mystery, no pressure, no sales pitch. Here's exactly what your first few visits look like — and how Dr. Laura structures care so you always know what's next.

Your Walkthrough

From first call to first adjustment

01

Your First Visit — Consultation First

We start with a conversation, not a treatment. Dr. Laura wants to hear about you: how you're feeling, your pregnancy story so far, any discomforts or questions, and what you're hoping this care can help with. Expect to take your time.

02

Gentle Assessment

Next is a non-invasive evaluation — posture, gait, pelvic alignment, and how your body moves. If it makes sense, we'll also run a neurological evaluation to see how your nervous system is handling the demands of pregnancy. Nothing hurts, nothing surprises you.

03

Report of Findings

Before any adjustments, we sit down and walk you through what we found in plain language. You'll leave your first visit knowing exactly what's happening in your body and the plan that makes sense for you. No pressure to commit.

04

Your First Adjustment (usually visit two)

Most mamas don't get adjusted on day one — we want to review the plan with you first. When it's time, adjustments happen on a table designed for pregnant bodies, with proper support and zero pressure on your belly.

Real Talk

What the experience actually feels like

The adjustments are gentle

Webster-based care uses specific, soft contacts. No twisting, no cracking, no forceful moves. Most mamas say it feels like a deep exhale — many fall asleep on the table.

Your belly is never compressed

We use a pregnancy-specific table with proper support so you can lie comfortably on your front even in later trimesters, or side-lying if that feels better.

Care plans flex with your pregnancy

Most mamas visit once a week or every other week, stepping up to weekly in the third trimester. We adjust frequency to what your body is asking for — not a rigid schedule.

Partners and kids are welcome

Bring your partner to the first consult if it helps. Bring your older kids if that's your only window. Little Roots is literally built for families — we love the chaos.

Come With Questions

There's no such thing as a silly question.

Whether you're curious about Webster Technique, wondering whether care is safe with your specific pregnancy situation, or just want to know if your OB will be happy with us — we love these conversations. Bring every question.

Dr. Laura is happy to coordinate with your OB, midwife, or doula. We believe in birth teams, not competition. The more aligned your care providers are, the better your whole experience gets.
