Drs. Logan and Laura Swaim co-founded The Roots Health Centers together — husband and wife, both Doctors of Chiropractic from Life University, both driven by the same conviction: that the nervous system controls everything, and when it's clear, the body heals itself.

Dr. Laura became ICPA Webster Technique Certified early in her career, drawn to the families whose children were struggling and whose expectant mothers needed gentler, more specific care than what most offices could provide. As more families came through their doors, it became clear the pediatric and prenatal side of the practice deserved its own home — and Little Roots was born.

The birth process — even a smooth, uncomplicated one — places tremendous stress on a newborn's spine and nervous system. When birth interventions like C-sections, vacuum extraction, or forceps are involved, that stress multiplies.

The result? Subtle nervous system interference that can manifest as feeding difficulties, colic, reflux, poor sleep, and later as behavioral or developmental challenges. Most parents don't know that these issues often have a neurological component — and that gentle chiropractic care can help.

The Swaims saw too many families bouncing between specialists, trying medication after medication, without anyone looking at the nervous system. They wanted to offer a different path — one rooted in understanding, data, and the body's innate ability to heal.
